Hello all!

I hope you’re all well!

Has anyone got any tips for how to deal with the severe period pains with PCOS...they’re making me feel like vomiting, feel dizzy and hot with them but its the pain that’s the worst, paracetamol dulls it a bit but I was just wondering if there were any better solutions people could recommend at all please?

Thank you!

I would recommend getting naproxen from your doctor as I have really bad ovary pains and naproxen helps me

Hew9245, thank you for your reply, I’ve tried naproxen before but it hasn’t provided much relief in the past, thank you for your suggestion though 🙂

Hi there

I use co-codamol which uou can get over ghe counter combined with ibuprofen 3 times a day. If you have heavy bleeding then your up can give you acids I'm on mefenamic and tranexamic acid to steam the flow but I personally find it hit or miss. Hope that this helps and you find some relief 😊 x

Hi,

I usually suffer from period pains which are very severe. They make me vomit a few times in a row when they are very painful. It's awful. Hot water bottle, pain killers, and I also try to drink chai that I make with half milk, half water, boil with tea bag and a little sugar and slices of fresh ginger until it bubbles for about 5 minutes. Try and drink that, and it will help eliminate the nausea feelings and and settle your stomach, and try and sleep if you are at home. A short nap can help, I find it allows my body to recoup after all the strain.

Do hope this helps.
