Well, these boots are made for walking, and walking they will do 
Fingers crossed for the weather; a wet day will be draining on the mind, a hot day tiring on the body, with the added risk of dehydration.
I will have helpers/marshalls manning water stations at several points on route. I also know 2 nice pubs en route that I will have to steel myself away from.
