I have heard that the Oxford COVID 19 vaccine is partly made up of a live attenuated vaccine. Does this mean that it cannot be given to immunosuppressed patients?

It is a live attentuated basis in one sense - they use a harmless weakened version of a virus that gives chimpanzees a cold - that is the transport medium. It isn't a live Covid virus or anything that can give humans an illness.
An encouraging news is that Oxford team is also in the middle of a trial with an antibody treatment ( made from the donors who have antibodies in their system) for the group like us. So far it is very promising according to BBC News. If successful, they will treat those extremely vulnerable such as the immunosuppressed and the very elderly who have little immunities. So I am waiting for this and not the vaccine. Fingers crossed!!!!
