An interesting article. I wonder if they are trying the therapies used for treatment of vasculitis are being trialed over here as a possible treatment for Covid-19? Are they using such therapies in Germany, which might explain their lower death rate.

Hi, it might be interesting to keep an eye on this, I think I read somewhere the Germans are testing a drug they were developing for treatment of vasculitis to combat Covid-19.

Hi, it is similar, isn't it? Maybe this helps with development of better treatment and understanding for vasculitis... With rare diseases they are not usually so hard pressed (low financial reward) to find a cure. When the whole world grinds to a stop...

Hi, I recently read that some of the symptoms of Covid 19 were a bubbling and fizzing feeling internally and of very hot skin, at the time I realised that they are amongst the symptoms that I have at flare, I also get blisters where I have the rash, which my consultant said is caused because my skin gets so hot.

I did feel , that as some of the symptoms of Covid 19 seem to mimic the symptoms of Vasculitis ( in my case at least ) maybe the treatment for one ,may also help with the treatment of the other. I shall watch with interest the findings as they become known. Hopefully treatment for this dreadful virus may be of great help for other illnesses , and for Vasculitis.

This is very interesting I had an unusual presentation of my mpo anca vasculitis.I have attacks of symptoms and I can always tell the start as I get a fizzy pain in my muscles and I've never read of anyone with this symptom.Jane

Extremely interesting article. One of the drugs called Tocilizumab is one of the ones that I have had on several occasions and has helped the Behçet’s symptoms to an extent.
