Great to have people like you Jacqui. I have put it on my Facebook asking people to sign it and copied the link - will that take them straight there to the e petition?
I have a prepay certificate luggsey, as do many others with this disease. With the amount of medication we all have to take (I have 10 items per prescription) it would work out an excessive amount to pay.
My point is that if Diabetics e.g. do not have to pay for their medication why do we?
I have 18 items, but as I'm over 60 I get them free anyway, but it's important to support others with this disease by signing the petition. It's on my facebook page too.
I'm in the crazy situation of having to pay for my pre-payment card and I take many more meds than my husband, who IS a diabetic and takes two tablets a day!
Hi i have done this and also put it on a FB group i am in "The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation - Vasculitis Support Group" and have so far got 10 people to sign.
I found out that people in Scotland dont have to pay it is just England that is so very slow off the mark.
If anyone of you are on FB i advise joining the above group it really is a very friendly group who will answer any question/query you may have.
Thank you Greenkit. The more groups we are able to share with the more signatures we can get. Share with you family and friends. I know that Scotland (and Wales I think) do not have to pay for their prescriptions but it would be nice to have their support in this
I have an exemption certificate due to my getting diabetes from taking meds for my Vasculitis (that was never on the packet !! LOL) but I do not believe it is fair that fellow Vasculitis sufferers have to pay. So I have also signed for you/them.
Hope we get some positive results. I personally am in the position that I receive free prescriptions because I am over 60 now. When first diagnosed I was afraid that I would be unable to afford the tablets I had been prescribed as I was existing on SSP. Suppose I should think myself lucky now !!!!
I have given the link to GhostbustersUK to share with their fans. As you may know, Harold Ramis who acted in the Ghostbusters film sadly passed due to Vasculitis earlier this year.
GhostbustersUK have told us that VUK will be their chosen charity from now on. They have raised a lot of money for VUK so far.
Jaqui hope it is doing well. I have had an excellent response by asking my friends to do it on Face Book and they have then put it on theirs, maybe we should ask people to do that as well?
