I may be telling you something you already know but you can book your vaccination at one of the centres using the NHS website. This is without needing a letter or phone call from your surgery but you do of course have to be eligible. I initially tried it but as soon as I entered my age (65) it through me out without me being able to declare that I'm clinically extremely vulnerable. However someone sent me a link to another NHS web page which, after you have entered your NHS number it asks you whether you are CEV. There is a new vax centre in our town which has just opened and I have got an appointment straight away. The local GP surgeries seem to be running behind plan at the moment, so this is a bonus for me. This is the link:

Hi, I am confused. The link sends me to NHS site but on there it says "You can only use this service if you have received a letter inviting you to book your vaccination appointments." and under that bold, yellow highlighted "Wait to be contacted". So either this is not the same site you used to book, or there is a glitch in booking system that lets you book without an invite (I have not tried that yet).
Can't believe people are "accidentally" not noticing the massive yellow box, titled "Wait to be contacted. The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It's important not to contact the NHS for a vaccination before then." I am CEV having vasculitis AND recent kidney transplant, but I'm not going to queue jump!

I thought it was a glitch on their system allowing people to jump the queue, but apparently the NHS numbers of the people who can have the vaccination are entered to the system.
I was able to book mine when I tried and since it made me feel very guilty I have emailed my GP asking for their opinion. But my partner wasn't eligible and in some areas where they are still vaccinating above 75, CEVs aren't in the system so they cannot book yet.
We have notified people who have the authority to check this out and correct it if it is actually a glitch.
I was told by a friend to call 119I did and I was very dubious
I got really helpful guy. Owned up straight away about not receiving an invite. He said never mind let’s see how far we can go.
I am classed like most of you as CEV
I was shocked when he said oh. Of course I can help you. You couldn’t attend the last invite. I replied never received it in any shape or form but going this coming Thursday and second dose already booked.

I'm just wondering if when you get to the vaccine centre they ask you for your "invite" letter. Maybe the invite letters have a code on them??
I have had severe vasculitis for 26 years with many complications and resulting in having a kidney transplant under 2 years ago. I was informed that vasculitis, by itself, would not class you as CEV, but solid organ transplant do.
There are many people who think they are CEV, but are not.
I am desperate for the vaccine, even though it may not be very effective for me. After reading about healthy Denbighshire council staff booking appointments without an invite, this sounds like it could be open to abuse. The abuse could be unintentional, such as those who presume they are CEV.
PLEASE note I am not accusing anyone on here of any wrong doing, or presuming that they are CEV when, in fact, they're not.
It is also confusing that over 70s are listed as "moderate risk/CV", yet they receive the vaccine before people on the "high risk/CEV" list.
Hi just need to take your letter with you saying you are clinically extremely vulnerable. The NHS number appears to recognise that you are clinically extremely vulnerable. All went without a hitch. Its been helpful to arrange appointment to fit in with next RTX.
That's great news! I was very concerned about booking an appointment with it stating that you must wait to be invited.Great news that you can plan you're next RTX infusion around it (very important for getting maximum chance of building antibodies).
Since my transplant I've not had RTX due to being constantly, highly immune suppressed. I already had some antibodies against the donor kidney, so my level of immune suppression is very high. Just hope the jab works, as I didn't create antibodies after my pneumonia jab.
My OH who had GPA had his vaccine on Friday -Oxford one. No I’ll effects slight uncomfortable arm but nothing to concern him . Next one booked in 4 weeks and then 2nd RTX .Good luck and stay and safe
On booking your vaccine you get a vaccine number for both 1st and 2nd visits that you have to take with you. You can go on the NHS web site and there is a link called manage your vaccine if you follow it everything is there to print out if needed.
I had my vaccination without problem at the local centre yesterday. You need to present your appointment booking reference number (sent to you by email). I also brought along my CEV letter as proof. I can't speak for what is happening nationally but locally there seems to be a bottleneck getting letters and phone calls out inviting you for an appointment. The local centre has been desperate to fill slots to avoid vaccine going to waste. They ended up giving it to people outside the top 4 at risk tiers. The centre only opened a week ago hopefully it is just teething problems.
