What is the best line for vasculitis patients :

Central line , portacath , Picc line , proline ???

Anyone have extremely difficult cannulation ?

Hello samakaaaa, it all depends on the reason for fitting a line. For example, for plasma exchange they would likely fit a central picc line. But if it is just for administering IV medication they may fit a picc line in your arm!

Hello , infusion is only iv fluids and medications but i have been told by doctors that my vasculitis is the cause of failure of all central line , thats why i' asking is there special type of line in vasculitis that is less irritant on vessel walls ? Not to cause DVT as usual?

The type of line one has depends on what is being infused.

I have had multiple picc lines because I am a difficult stick. Also, frequently I get stuck and line is in but it immediately ‘blows.’ No problems with picc lines.
