Recently had thorough NHS blood tests for both thyroid and heart related issues.Could someone please look at thyroid for me as gp asked me to decrease T3 from 50mcgs to 40mcgs Liothyronine due to high FT3 result. On T3 therapy only.
Also interested in your thoughts on vitamin testing as currently not supplementing any!

When did yo take last dose of T3 and how much before this test?
I took T3 dose in 3 day before test.So last dose around 6pm and test next day 10.00am ish.
Am attaching page 2 of tests
16 hours is too long between last dose and test. T3 has a short half life so in future aim for 8-12hrs spacing and delay last dose the day before.
So FT3 result is a false low at 41% through range which might be about right if the timing had been right.
Ferritin is good.
Vit D could be slightly higher so increase supplement slightly.
B12 & folate both too low. A good methyl B complex would cover both of these vitamins and help keep allB's in balance.

Thank you so much.I'm having further blood tests this week and so will space T3 doses accurately.
I thought B12 would need supplementing so will take a look at the links you recommended.
I take a lot of heart medication and just need to check if B12 ok with them!
Other tests currently show problems with my kidneys so just need to investigate further!
