My daughter is having lots of symptoms eg.. heart rate up and down. Feeling faint on standing, random chest pain. Body rash on and off doesn't shift with strong anti histamines.
If she exerts her self like doing a park run her neck swells around thyroid area.
( I have Graves and had RAI therapy 10 years ago) so could run in family.
But when I ask doctors to do bloods they won't do the full thyroid panel. Her TSH is around 2.7 . Full blood count normal, vit B12, iron etc in range but on the lower end..
Can I ask for a private blood test that will do the whole panel? Doctors strictly will not.
I've had to fight to go back to Endo, so I could trial T3 with my levo and they test T4 and T3 .
I'm wondering if my daughter isn't converting, do you think this could be possible? I have a picture of her neck after park run today I will upload with this.
Any ideas anyone?
Also she gets over whelming tiredness after normal hours sleep. And has to go for naps in the day time.

Feeling faint on standing could be POTS which can go with hypothyroidism.
Exactly what were her vitamin results with reference ranges for each test?
Has daughter had her thyroid antibodies tested?
The NHS rarely does a full thyroid panel so best you buy a private test, then you can check her antibodies too. Don't use Monitor My Health as its an NHS lab and will only test 1 type of antibody.
See link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost. thyroiduk.org/testing/priva...
There is also a new company offering walk in& mail order blood tests in London, Kent, Sussex & Surrey areas. Check to see if there is a blood test company near you. onedaytests.com/products/ul...
Only do private tests on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid postal delays.
Problems with conversion are only an issue when on Levo alone. She still has her own thyroid so its not relevant.
What is POTS, never heard of it before, but have been feeling faint when I stand for 2 years now, GP said it’s because my blood pressure is low, but had low blood pressure all my life.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has never heard of it 😆 Off to Google we go... Postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS).. for anyone else reading this. I also tend to have low blood pressure.
