Hypothyroid - Vit & iron levels

Hello,

As recommended by this brilliant group, I have had my vitamin and iron levels tested through medichecks. My results have come back all in range, thankfully, but I know that sometimes ‘normal’ or ‘in range’ isn’t optimum. Would someone be able to look at these please and let me know any thoughts. I’m not currently on any supplements (since running out of a multi vitamin a few weeks ago), apart from a Vit D 3000 IU spray daily.

How long should I wait to take vitamins after Levothyroxine in the AM?

Extra info - A week ago I had a blood test through GP and had very high TSH and low T4 (see previous post). Diagnosed with hypothyroidism and started on Levo. Through medichecks I know I have elevated thyroid peroxidase antibodies and thyroglobulin antibodies, which I need to share with GP. I therefore understand my diagnosis is hashimotos. Is that correct?

thanks in advance!!

Hi Lola

I have just posted a supplement and vitamin comment.

I believe Iron Supplements and Vitamins should not be taken within 4 hours of levothyroxine.

Personally I found if you do it negates the Levothyroxine and raises the TSH.

Awaiting comments back. I'm no expert but did read this on a technical site.
