Weeping eye

Hi folks..

2 months ago, I discovered a huge enlarged nodule 2.6 cm on my thyroid. The week leading up to finding this I felt very sick, one side of my face was puffy and filled with fluid. My eye kept weeping. It was the same side I had my nodule. Fast forward 2mths,the nodule is benign tg and endo said my thyroid function was fine.

I am feeling a bit better, I stress a bit. I am still tired and my throat has been sore ever since on the side of where the enlarged nodule was. I have been taking iron, b12 and vit d..as these were all pretty low.

I am booked in to have bloods done in 2 weeks time.

My question is why is my eye still weeping, it hasn't stopped since it first started. I also have a very slight nasal drip which he started at the same time. Also phlegm on my chest that won't shift.

Thanks for reading

After following advice here, I found Sterimar nasal spray helped ease nasal drip. Regarding your eye, I would get it checked out with an optician but meanwhile use preservative free drops (eg HycoSan or Hyloforte).

Do share all thyroid blood and key vitamin tests with us, so we can offer more advice.

weepy eye can be a sign of dry eye, I know that seems counter intuitive! I’d try the drops. Hylo forte do one that is an antihistamine as well which if you are getting some sort of allergy causing the nasal drip can help both.
