Hello, I have my recent blood test results as follows:
FT4 <1.3pmoL/L 10.8 -25.5
TSH 0.09mIU/L 0.27-4.2
FT3 5.2pmol/L 3.1-6.8
I am still really hypo. Could this just be down to low vitamins and minerals.

Without having read your past posts too carefully , is it accurate that prior to T3 mono the highest dose of T4/Levo you took was 75 daily?
I only got up to 75mg, because I felt so ill, I went back to 50mg, and eventually stopped the levo. It made me feel like death.
So I’ll go out on a limb here, but you can totally push back as I know you’re totally actively on top of your thyroid hormone replacement journey : )
But did you determine that you were intolerant to ALL t4 replacement options before going t3 mono?
Because I’m not sure anybody would feel ok in just 50 or 75 unless, as we say, you are petit. For myself, feeling awful for 9 months on 50 mcgs and then even recently completely underreplaced at around 62.5 Levo PLUS 10 T3 - I had a ways to go.
Again that’s just me, just replying to you to share my experience.
What were your bloods at the 75?
Well I had a test done at 75mg but it said I was on too much. But the blood test on 50mg prior, said I needed an increase. Who knows. At that time, I was naive to hashimoto's hypothyroidism so did what I was told. This was over 3 years ago.
I tried many, many different manufacturers, to no avail. I was eventually referred to endocrinology and was trialled on liquid levo. That didn't work either. I kept asking for liothyronine but was told no repeatedly.
I started on Liothyronine around February 2023 5mcg x 2 daily. I have slowly increased to 20mcg x 2 daily. The endocrinologist will not increase it based on blood tests.
Makes sense. And I have no experience T3 mono so imagine others will be along to weigh in on that.
I will just say that if you tried all those T4 options but never more than 75… hm! Even for me right now, at 75 and 10 T3 I’m pondering increasing Levo because my FT4 is likely too low in range.
What exactly was your FT4 and FT3 when you say you it was too much?
All previous blood tests were just TSH
When were vitamin levels last tested
What supplements are you taking
Are you on strictly gluten free and/or dairy free diet
which brand is T3
Hello SlowDragon My vitamins and minerals were tested over 2 years ago.
I am supplementing with B12, B complex, vitD with K2, vit C, Super Fish Oil and Magnesium.
I have Roma 10mcg and Mercury Pharma 20mcg.
I am not gluten or dairy free. I was negative when tested for coeliac disease.
Suggest you get your vitamin levels checked. You are taking supplements but don't know if they are working for you. Some people need to take extra B12 or folate. D3 should be checked twice a year until you know how much you need in each season.
Iron or ferritin is a frequent issue for many.
Thank you Jaydee1507 for replying. My endo said she was going to do it, but when I went for my blood test, they only did thyroid. I have my appointment with endocrinology tomorrow. I have repeatedly asked my GP, but, even though they were within normal limits, some were very low. The GP has said that because they were normal there is no need to repeat the test even though it was done over two years ago.I am on T3 only. Do you know if the blood tests, shown above, show optimal dose? Because I want more info before appointment tomorrow. Thankyou
When was your lasr dose of T3 before this test, how many hours before?
For accurate FT3 results the spacing should be 8-12 hours.
Free T3 (fT3) 5.2 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 56.8%
40mcg T3 is a relatively low dose for T3 monotherapy. Average dose is likely to be around 60mcgs T3 a day.

My last liothyronine was over 12 hours before blood test.Due to my continued symptoms, I am certain that I need a higher dose, but endo has refused due to TSH. She said she cannot, not will not increase.
I am not financially able to pay for private testing. I wish I could.
