Results advice please....
Gosh, do you feel okay? I think I'd feel dreadful w these results. What does your endo suggest? Are you on meds or is this (I hope) unmedicated results?
Im sorry i meant to add she upped my Levo to 75 from 50 was on 25 till Jan then 50 plus she said apart from TSH all was good so looks like Endo the same as the other hospital no i dint feel too good feet all tingly n numb still mxodema in lower legs not huge but enough to feel achey n heavy sorry if mispelt dont know what to do next now she said stay on 75 for a month maybe up it then see me 4 mths time
No, I wouldn't like to feel like this for four more months. You may want to find an advocate (a good gp or other practitioner) or self-treat w a small amount of ndt or t3. Your t3 and t4 are on the floor. Also might want to up your vit d and iron.
I thought as much i said to her ate you sure my T3 T4 levels ok she said they are i knew by on here they should be in upper range but she didnt really agree n said your TSH needs to come down and i will feel better with upping my Levo as for my Vitamins all good ill take advice on here i think now seen 2 Endo's now GP only agrees with ranges
Hi How do i go about starting to add T3 ? Where is the best place to buy online ? As ive looked at my results from last Nov nothing much has changed except TSH gone up again been on 50 Levo quite a while ill up to 75 for a month and looks like take iron and vit D. How much vit D should i take ? Maybe im not taking enough
I have my t3 prescribed by my gp (for now, let's see how long that lasts) so I can't help w a source though lots of people here buy online. If you do another post asking for a source I'm sure you'll get a lot of answers.
Off the top of my head (as a layperson and not a doctor) I'd add 5mcg t3 to your dose every morning for a week. If you feel okay (no palps etc) then I'd add 10 and see how you feel. Blood test in, Idk, three weeks? See where your tsh and t3 are and adjust. If your levels are a bit high you can reduce levo, if a bit low you can add 5 t3.
How much d are you taking now? My doctor told me she wanted me on 2500 per day to maintain. You're not deficient and everyone is different but I think 1000 is the current maintenance recommendation. Personally I think that might be a bit out of date and most people would be better off on 1500-2500, but you have to monitor it because you can take too much.
I invite others to add their thoughts if any of that doesn't sound ideal.
No it wasn't good apart from TSH! Free t3 - the most important one - needs to be in the top quarter of the range (over 5.8) as does Ft4 (over 19). Since it's Summer, I'd be looking for D3 nearer 100 as well (and folate at about 2x what it is).
Cant go thro anymore Endo's to exhausting
Ive just looked back on my results the lowest my TSh was 4mths ago was 2.40 looks like that keeps changing but T4 T3 hasnt my othere vitamins havent much either any advice now ill take from here ill never get back to my life
TSH varies during the day up to 75%, so unless all your blood tests are fasting and at exactly the same of day, your TSH will vary (but not from 2.4 to 7.5). You are desperately undermedicated (time to look for a new endo on TUK list?)
I will just have to start to try do this by myself with help from on here im not bothering with any more Endo's or GP so any help and advice what i need to do ive relied on these Drs they exaust me
Those aren't good results at all. Your FT4 and Ft3 are much too low (and TSH is too high) you need a dose increase - badly - did she give you an increase?
Hello There i knew roughly i couldnt believe TSH went up again now on 75Levo i started 25 end Nov then 50 it did go down to 2.40 but shot up again i could see my T3 n T4 have stayed the same i didnt get much help off this new Endo except as i put in my post bring TSH down and up Levo to 75 i cant rely on Endo's now got to get help from here but dont know what to do
eliji I'm not sure what you mean that t3 is 'safer' than ndt? Any amount of t3 whether from t3 or ndt will lower the t4 level and suppress the tsh and those will be visible on a blood test. By safer do you mean the endo won't be able to tell? I think the op needs to get their life back and if the endo won't do a meaningful increase then the op might have to go it alone.
