Please could someone resend me the list of thyroid specialists. I'm about to get next lot of private blood tests but last one showed poor conversion of T4 to T3. NHS Endo appointment has been moved on to another 6 months time and am really struggling with symptoms. Funds are limited but worried that I'll wait for the NHS appointment and still not get anywhere. Is it likely that an NHS Endo will look at and treat T3? TIA

Here’s link for how to request Thyroid U.K.list of private Doctors emailed to you, but within the email a link to download list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologists who will prescribe T3 if clinically appropriate
Ideally choose an endocrinologist to see privately initially and who also does NHS consultations
Hi Apollo1,
From my experience I wouldn't rely on your NHS endo offering you T3 or even testing it!
It would be an idea to research the NHS endo you're seeing; ask for other forum members experiences via private message.
I managed to persuade my NHS endo surgeon to test FT3 when I had thyroid surgery but she said they don't routinely test it.
When I got referred back to the other endo clinic post surgery. Even though I'm not in need of T3 at the moment they were quick to confirm that the clinic will not prescribe T3.
So I'd do a bit of research first to avoid the stress and possible disappointment.
