So very grateful for Thyroid UK

I just have to express my gratitude to this forum and the admins who give of their time to help us who are or have been floundering with NHS input (or lack of input+even dismissiveness of our thyroid journey) with regard to our thyroid and other connected issues. My son will be 48 this year and that’s how long I have had to deal with Hashimotos, though it took until he was at least 5 years old before I got a diagnosis of Hashimotos after thyroidectomy. So, here I am at74 yrs of age finally getting a life back that was lost to me after we moved home six years ago. My present surgery, who are TSH obsessed, have created more problems than resolving any but after finding Thyroid U.K. and learning so much about vitamins, private blood tests, private Endos, and so much more, things are turning around. I have a supportive husband and family and I know many don’t have that but I know the support here is absolutely irreplaceable. I am so very, very grateful.☺️🥰

I completely agree. Without this forum, well informed administrators and people living with thyroid issues I don’t know where I would have ended up not being treated by the NHS. I’m now fully recovered after seeking private only help and finally after years of struggling got the treatment with my best possible outcome. Thank you Thyroid UK and its invaluable members.
