A source for Thyroid S in UK

Good morning,

Please could someone private message me as I am looking for a source for Thyroid S?

I taken my NDT sublingual and Erfa is sweet which I do not like. So I wanted to try Thyroid S and I vaguely remember trying it before before I Switched to T3 only.

Thank you

NDT is not designed to be taken sublingually. It needs the effect of stomach acid to be absorbed efficiently. Thyroid hormone molecules are too large to pass the mucus membrane/blood barrier, so it will just hang about in your mouth until swallowed, anyway.

Thank you for this info. I didn't know that. I thought like my T3 I could just continue. :-)

T3 should also be swallowed

TSH 77.04 mIU/L ( 0.3 to 3.94 ) Auth

Highly likely to have vitamin deficiencies when been so hypothyroid

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

No thyroid hormones will work well if vitamins aren’t OPTIMAL

As you have Hashimoto’s are you on absolutely strictly gluten free diet or dairy free diet

I had been taking Vit D3/K2 and Magnesium. My Vitamin D was 71 nmol/L. Folate ferritin and B12 wasn't tested last time.

Had just started taken selenium again after the blood test but I have enrolled in a 15 day gut cleanse program to start all over again.

So stopped all supplements for 15 days.

I wasn't on strict gluten and dairy free regime but for the past 15 days I have been and do feel so much better.

Few years ago I had non alcohol related fatty liver so hoping to concentrate on liver too and decongest the liver.

Not sure how but one step at a time. :-)

Look at increasing vitamin D to at least around 80nmol minimum

Test twice yearly via NHS private testing service when supplementing

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is very effective as it avoids poor gut function.

There’s a version made that also contains vitamin K2 Mk7.

One spray = 1000iu

Hello there :

Just for reference I read that no thyroid hormone replacement works well until ferritin is at least over 70 - mine at the time was 22 :

I now know I feel at my best with a ferritin at around 100 : folate at around 20 : active B12 75++ ( serum B12 500++ ) and vitamin D at around 100 :

Bigfraz76, This post is two years old and the original poster hasn't interacted on the forum since then. You have already made your own post requesting sources, so hopefully you'll get up to date suggestions by message.
