Latest blood tests after Levo reduction. Any thoughts?

These were my previous results on 100mcg Levo

TSH - 0.011 (0.27-4.2)

Free T4 - 21.6 (12-22) (96%)

Free T3 - 5.8 (3.1-6.8) ((73%)

I’ve changed to 100mcg 3 times a week 75mcg 4 days a week. New results after 8 weeks are

TSH 1.62 (0.27-4.2)

Free T4 15 (12-22)

Free T3 3.7 (3.1-6.8)

Ferritin 391 (20-400)

Vit D 159 (50-200)

Active B12 138 >38 healthy

Some worrying results

ALT 52 >45 is high

Cholesterol 7.1

LDL 5.31 >3.3 is high

hs-crp >20 >5.5 is high

I’m quite surprised to see my levels drop so much. What do you think? Stay on what I am for now and retest? I don’t feel too bad to be honest. Still not sleeping great though. When I was on the 100mcg everyday I had really bad dry skin but since I’ve come down it’s slowly disappeared. These results are post Christmas alcohol and chocolate aswell so maybe that’s why the cholesterol etc are so high. I’ve also got RSV so maybe that’s why the crp is high and I also have psoriatic arthritis.

How long was you in 100mcg before those blood tests?

If you are feeling OK, stick with the dose you are on for now.

Thank you I was on 100mcg for about 8 weeks aswell. To be honest when I reduced there was a week or so where I felt really good so I’m wondering if that may be the sweet spot but we’ll see how it goes.

I am very jeoulous of that FT3. Thank you for sharing. As always, wishing you the best with it.

I know our doses have been on similar trajectories so far and I’ve just made it back to 100mcg. Waiting to feel better still.

I think it’s tricky when in the UK at least if one’s ’sweet spot’ is between 75mcg-100mcg. My suggestion remains the same as previous which is when fine tuning doses perhaps give the dose 12 weeks to settle.

Retest again in another 8 weeks

FT4: 15 pmol/l (Range 12 - 22)

Ft4 only 30.00% through range

You may need small increase in Levo

Or

You may need addition of T3 prescribed alongside

See if Ft4 drops further, if it does, try increasing levothyroxine by 25mcg PER WEEK

So 100mcg 4 times a week

My results were incredibly similar to yours…..slightly overmedicated on 100mcg, converting well.

I’m trying 4x100 and 3x75 and I’m going to test soon as I’ve been on this for several months now.

That’s exactly what I’m doing from Monday hoping it’s gonna improve my numbers. It’s crazy how just a slight change in medication can change your numbers so much. Good luck 😆.
