Combination therapy

It is pleasing to be able to state that my local NHS Endo has signed me up to Combination Therapy, to be managed at GP level, following a three month trial. Previously taking 200mcg T4 daily now to be taking 100mcg T4 plus 20mcg of T3 daily.

My labs look good on T4 (25mg)/T3(60 mg) combination therapy but my vitals don't show this. Can anyone advise?

Hi, When on combination therapy does the amount of T3 you take impact the conversion of T4 to T3? For example, if you was on 75mcg T4 and 20T3 would the conversion of the T4 be worse if you increased the T3 to 30mcg of more?

This combination therapy is being compared to the use of abiraterone acetate and prednisone alone in patients with specific genetic mutations related to DNA repair.

Should T4 still be within range when on combination therapy? Does it sound right that I should be on the same dose of Levo now during combination therapy as I was before adding in T3? No meds taken before early blood draw.

I am now (after a very long time) prescribed T3 on the NHS and am on T4/T3 combination therapy. This was because I was on an over-range dose of T4 to get sufficient T3/was not converting. I take 100mcg Teva T4 per day in the morning; 2.5mcg T3 Morningside three times a day (so 7.5mcg per day).

Unfortunately, my (sharp young bright female) Endo who understood that a low TSH is normal with combination therapy has moved away. I have been given to new young male Endo who has glowing patient reviews.
