Following my last Blood Test results which was taken on the 16.10.23 - despite a T4 being requested by the GP only a TSH was done. Prior to this the consultant wanted me to decrease my Thyroxine from 100mcg to - 100mcg on one day and 75mcg the next - alternating ongoing.
I declined to do this on the strength of only having a TSH and had continued at 100mcg.
16.10.23 TSH 0.04 (0.3 - 5.5)
I have just had a further Thyroid BT at my GP surgery and following the TUK Protocol and these are the results just received.
5/12/23
TSH 0.06 (0.3 - 5.5)
T4 15.9 (10 - 22)
I would be grateful for your advice moving forward please.
I do have a telephone appointment with my GP but would value any comments you have before
I speak with him.
Many thanks

You really need to get a private blood test to show your FT3 as well as TSH & FT4. Noone can tell if you are converting by your current results but your FT4 is well within range so I suggest you stick to your guns and the dose that you currently are on.
Its possible you may need more Levo even but we need a full thyroid panel to see first.
Quote them from the NICE guidelines:

I see you have raised ferritin, have they also tested folate, B12 & D3 which can often be low if not deficient when we are hypo. See link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost.thyroiduk.org/testing/priva...
There is also a new company offering walk in (includes free blood draw) & mail order blood tests in London, Kent, Sussex & Surrey areas. Check to see if there is a blood test company near you. onedaytests.com/products/ul...
Only do private tests on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid postal delays.
Many thanks Jaydee for your advice - my case is forever getting more complicated as although I do not have a diagnosis - I appear to have a B12 Deficiency and have been SI injecting EOD since the beginning of April 23 and was starting to feel better than I had done for 2 years. When I saw my rheumatologist at the end of September along with wanting to reduce my Thyroxine he was not happy about my B12 injections that my GP had arranged for me even though it had showed a considerable improvement in my health. He wanted to stop these and refused to think that my symptoms would return - although I was not happy with this I decided to stop the injections and see how long I could go symptom free ............
However within 3/4 days I had the return of the burning and stabbing pains in my feet and legs and after a week I was feeling as ill as I had done six months previously. I reinstated the EOD injections and was backed up by my GP in this treatment - but although the burning and stabbing pains stopped quite quickly, it has taken six weeks for me to get back to even beginning to feel any further improvements.
With regard to my raised Ferritin Levels - this has been for the past two years with no explanation from any medic that I have seen. I am currently awaiting results of further Genetic Testing which has been done to get to try to get to the root of the problems and my feeling so unwell. I was told this would take three months, so am hoping to get the results very soon now.
I did wonder if when I stopped the B12 injections wether it had upset my Thyroid Levels causing me to feel less well even though having reinstated my EOD injections.
Thank you, and sorry that this is so complicated -
I took a Folate suppliment recommended by the Forum to get it to an optimal level and have since been taking a BComplex every day which contains 400ug Folate plus a 1000 of Vit D capsule every day prescribed by the Rheumatologist for my Severe Oesteoporosis - so I think that I am on an optimol amount.
The only thing I haven't taken is the magnesium ??
Did you have a comment on my B12 deficiency affecting my Thyroid Levels please ?
There have been members here who following treating a B12 deficiency their TSH has risen to a more usual level. No guarantee of this happening but it has been seen.
I can recommend magnesium bisglycinate as being well absorbed.
