T3 : 3.80 ( 3.1-6.8)
T4: 12.1 ( 11.0-23.0)
11TH JUNE RESULTS:
TSH: 1.4 (0.27-4.5)
T3: 3.83 (3.1-6.8)
T4: 13.5 (11-23)

So, you now have 2 sets of results with low TSH, low FT4 and low FT3. Can you tell me whether you've been diagnosed with a thyroid condition? Are you taking any thyroid hormone? Are you on any medications or have any chronic condition?
Sorry, lots of questions but it helps to know so people can give best advice.
I note from another post that B12 is low but you haven't been tested for active B12 and folate is very low in range. Do you have a vit D test result and a ferritin test result along with iron?
I've not been diagnosed with anything yet, my family has a strong prevalence of thyroid disease though. I recently paid for an active B12 which was 123 (25.1-165.0)
My vit d was 27 in April so I've been taking supplements which brought it up to 78 recently.
OK, so folate is low and vitamin D is improving. B12 appears to be OK re. the active B12 test result.
Do you have thyroid antibodies results? TPO and TgAb? Are you taking any medication besides vitamin D supplements? Did you take any supplement containing biotin in the run up to thyroid tests?
Are you on a very restrictive diet?
I'm asking these questions to exclude an obvious external factor interfering with normal thyroid function or the lab tests.
OK, so TPO is within range. You still need TgAb antibodies checking and ultrasound is a good idea. Its looking more possible that it's a pituitary problem though in which case you do need to see a specialist.
It's possible that you've got a pituitary problem but the GP is unlikely to know much about that. Thyroid UK have a list of endocrinologist who could be knowledgeable on pituitary problems. Read up about it.
You could ask GP to run further blood tests to exclude anything obvious that could interfere with thyroid function like an infection, check kidney and liver function etc. check further antibodies. If nothing shows up then consider a pituitary gland problem and ask for a referral to one of the Endocrinologists on the list.
yes, i ended up ringing my surgery again last Wednesday (I'd had a rude dr speak to me the day before) I just wanted to check the uss of my neck had been requested like the radiologist advised, it hadn't...i relayed what my gp said to me, she was appalled and got a senior dr to ring me, he said I need endocrinology so he referred me, i had asked my previous dr for this but she refused citing that I can't keep being referred places, I said if she can't help me then please refer me on..she wouldn't. The only thing is, the last gp said if endo can't solve it, then I must have depression, i said I absolutely do not have depression, I'm fed up of each dr suggesting it
Check that the Endo you've been referred to is a thyroid specialist. Most are diabetes specialists and know diddly squat about thyroid and pituitary conditions. You can look on the Internet and hospital website. If it says they have an 'interest' in thyroid it does not mean they have a specialism in thyroid. Likely they are a diabetes specialist who see a few thyroid patients. You can ask to be referred to someone of your choosing.
Yes, i know what you mean..i looked up patient reviews and they are all positive, so I really hope its the same for me, trouble is everyone is now waiting extra long times for obvious reasons..thats before any tests that I may need being ordered..
Ask GP to run as many tests as possible so you can take the results to the Endo to save time. Especially given the current situation, you want to minimise visits to the hospital. GP can run fbc and include ANA antibodies tests and rule out an infection.
Also, patient reviews might be for diabetes consultations so don't hold your breath!
I did manage to get fbc, u&e, lft's repeated last week as my gp wouldn't accept my private blood tests..i paid for ANA a few weeks ago which was negative
So, there is more and more evidence pointing toward investigating a pituitary problem then. Good luck getting it sorted out. I'd like to know what happens.
Yeah i know that feeling. I have no faith in Dr's either now. I'll probably have the same struggle as you soon with my gp. This forum is a god send though 😊
