Ever since having my jabs in October I felt very ill initially and then I have carried on feeling unwell and so recently I did an advanced thyroid test with Medichecks and realised my thyroid was out of kilter so I've upped my NDT by 1/8 grain (knowing I had some wiggle room).
My vitamins all took a knock but the one that concerned me the most was folate which was 13.4 (8.83-60.8) and my Active B12 fell for the first time ever from being at the top of the range to150 (37.5-188). I've only just discovered that I stupidly have been taking Thorne B Stress tablets instead of Basic B which may explain why my folate has dropped significantly.
As I had some B12 tablets here as well as Jarrow 400 mcg folate I took both this morning and wonder whether I should carry on doing this or whether I should include the Thorne B Stress tablets as well or ditch the "Stress" tablets altogether and get some more B complex.
Many thanks for any help that you can give!

I knew there was something niggling at the back of my mind about Stress ones but I just couldn't remember - will ditch pronto! Thanks so much for the timely reminder - I will donate to the donkey charity 😁
The important thing is to make sure you’re not B12 deficient before you start taking folic acid. If you are, and you start taking folic acid straight away you mask B12 deficiency symptoms which can lead to permanent neurological damage. So - if B12 deficient, raise levels with B12 supplementation and only then start folic acid.
If not B12 deficient you can start folic acid straight away. The extra 200mcg mentioned is not a problem. Afterall if you use prescribed folic acid you’ll be taking 5mg per day!
Thank you Popscicle for your kind advice. No I'm not deficient in B12 and was always at the top of the range so I stopped taking it about 3 years ago and started on with a vitamin B complex and thought I was taking Thornes B complex but suddenly realised I had bought the wrong one and was taking Thornes B "Stress" which has far less folate in it. I've already started taking B12 again together with Jarrow's 400 mcg folate and will take it from there - folic acid not good for me! Thanks again 🤗
