Can you add the ranges, please, because they vary from lab to lab, and we need those that came with your results to be able to interpret them. :)

I paid for the vitamin test The Thyroid test

And the thyroid antibody test, should I have more results than these?

OK, so your B12 is much too low. Should be at least over 550.

Your D3 could be higher - at least over 100.

Your TSH is saying that you're under-medicated - should come down to 1 or under.

Your FT4 is highish, but your FT3 is too low, so you are a poor converter.

You do need folate tested before doing anything about the B12. And, you need ferritin tested.

Where are the antibody results?

Thank you I have to ring them again in the morning I am having difficulty signing into my account, it's a disaster. I will call them tomorrow and try getting all my results again. I will just go to my doc and get the folate and ferritin checked, this didn't work out to well. I will ask about my antibody test tomorrow..

FT3. 4. R. 3.1-6.8

ATP. 12.2. R. 0- 34

Well, your antibodies are negative. But, you can't completely rule out Hashi's on the basis of one negative test. And, you are a poor converter. And, I doubt that optimising your nutrients would change that - although they certainly do need to be optimised. So, what you need is some T3 added to your levo.

So when you say my antibodies are negative is that good or bad. And I should fight my case for T3 with my doc is that correct. Is T3 the armour, the pigs thyroid one? Sorry I am so ignorant with my thyroid which is disgraceful, I should be more aware but at least I am getting there. Thank you

As I see it, negative antibodies are neither good nor bad, because either way, you're still hypo. It just gives you a reason for becoming hypo: Autoimmune Thyroiditis. It is slightly more complicated that other forms of hypo, but the treatment is still the same.

T3 is the active thyroid hormone. T4 is levo, synthetic T4, which is basically a storage hormone that doesn't do much until it is converted into T3.

When we say someone needs to take T3, we mean the synthetic liothyronine such as Tiromel or Cynomel. It can be a struggle to get it prescribed because doctors don't understand the need, and it's more expensive than levo. And GPs cannot initiate the prescribing, it has to be an endo.

Pig thyroid is something else entirely. We call it NDT: Natural Dessicated Thyroid, which contains both T4 and T3. But it is almost impossible to get that prescribed on the NHS.

Ok thank you for this, I am in Ireland, but I am sure it's the same here. So what do you suggest I do when I visit my doc nxt week, I have been avoiding doc cos all one of them wants is to put me on statins a reading of 6 on my chlorestrol which I refuse completely to go on. I want to deal with my thyroid, so it is important I know what I am talking about obviously.

Should I try getting the NDT one maybe if I can?

You really just need a dose increase of Levo. If you possibly can then its best and easiest to stick with Levo.

To feel well your TSH needs to be at or just under 1. Yours is over 2 at the moment.

Thyroid hormone needs all key vitamins to be at OPTIMAL levels for it to work well.

Your B12 is less than optimal. I'd suggest you buy a good methyl/active type B complex to help keep all the B's in balance. I'm not sure if you can buy from these UK links in Ireland but these are ones that I often recommend.

Vitamin D should be around 100 - 150. Buy one that includes vit K2 to help it go to your bones. Some are available in oil or you can take it with an oily meal for better absorption. Many members like the ‘Better You’ range of mouth sprays that contain both bit D & K2. Use this calculator to work out how much to take to get your level to 100-150. wildatlantichealth.com/vita...

Thank you Jaydee1507 I have a good health 30 mins drive from me, I can write these down and she will give me a good brand. So along with this I should put a case for T3 also as grey goose suggests. You are all so good and patient thank you all.

Free T4 (fT4) 18.8 pmol/L (12 - 22) 68.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 24.3%

Your conversion rate isn;t the best but you could still do with getting all key vitamins to OPTIMAL and levo to optimal before you think about if you need T3 or not.

High cholesterol is a symptom of undermedication. Once you are on a decent level of Levothyroxine cholesterol levels generally decrease. Statins are not recommended. These facts are in NHS guidelines:

Please note that statins are not recommended (by the NHS !!!) for people with hypothyroidism.

On this link : nhs.uk/conditions/statins/c...

nhs.uk/conditions/statins/c...

"If you have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), treatment may be delayed until this problem is treated. This is because having an underactive thyroid can lead to an increased cholesterol level, and treating hypothyroidism may cause your cholesterol level to decrease, without the need for statins. Statins are also more likely to cause muscle damage in people with an underactive thyroid.

Thank you Bearo I have no intention what so ever to even entertain statins and that is for sure. I am at their mercy for my Thyroid meds that's it. Thank you all for your help because without all this info I was certainly lost and didn't know where to turn. Today I bought my liposomol vitamin c, and my other vitamins and I am on mission to be healthy as I can be again. So thank you all. I will keep you updated on my doctor visits and blood test and please God I will start to feel alive again, I already do with this support here. So thank you all again
