Confused and so tired! Can someone advise please? Blood results in October when I was on 75mcg thyroxine only we’re T4 - 133. TSH 1.08. Free thyroxine 18.9 and free T3 3.7.

Blood results December after being on 50mcg thyroxine And 10mcg T3 are. TSH 0.4, free T4 12 and free T3 is 3.0. So my free T3 has dropped, in fact all levels have dropped. Is this why I feel so bad? My leg muscles ache when walking and lower back ache.

Yes, you’re undermedicated. Basically, there was no need to reduce your levothyroxine dose, as you were undermedicated on 75mcg. If that had been kept the same you might feel better now! Ask for your 75mcg to be reinstated (alongside your liothyronine dose).

Your doctor may try to say that your TSH will become suppressed, but TSH is nearly always suppressed when taking any amount of T3, so that shouldn’t be used as an excuse.

Thank you. That’s what I was suspecting. I’m going to up it myself. I see the endocrinologist on the 16 January. I’m thinking of asking to try NDT.

Had a Doctor's appointment yesterday re side effects of under-medication of Levothyroxcin... Aching muscles, lower backache, tiredness, petit mal seizures etc. Doctor has now increased to 75mcg from 50mcg... Hoping this will work better.
