Hi all, these are my 6 week Medicheck thyroid results while on on 75mcg Levothyroxine (Synthroid). Test was done as per recommended fasting early morning etc.
CRP 3.65 (<3)
Ferrtin 268 (30-400)
Folate 17.7 (8-60)
B12 124 (37-188)
Vit D 156 (50-
250)
TSH 0.352 (0.27-4.2)
Free T3 5.1 ( 3.1-6.8) (54% through range)
Free T4 18 (12-22) (60% through range)
TG ab 16.7 (0-115)
TP Ab <9
My questions are:
1. Do you think i have room to go up to 100mcg?
2. In your experience will 100mcg suppress my TSH. Should i be concerned if this happens?
3. The medichecks Dr said my CRP is raised but i've been feeling ill this week, i've been really cold, loss of appetite, it may be COVID but i'm not sure.
4. Can i resume supplementing Vitamin D with my vit D where it is?
I have been supplementing folate everyday but obviously not enough so i'll look into doubling my dose. So my GP issue is that she put me on 25mcg initially which i felt awful on so i went back to see her and she refused to raise it to 50mcg and told me off for moving up to 50mcg on my own. I bought some Synthroid online which i actually get on really well with so i want to stick with this brand. I don't know whether to go back to the GP with these results because i know as soon as they looks at that TSH they'll tell me to lower my dose. I felt pretty good for the first 4 weeks on 75 but been feeling not so good last few weeks. Still better than i was but not 100%. Will i ever feel 100% again? i'm beginning to think not, maybe you cannot compare a dose of thyroxine to having a gland thats pumping it out constantly through the day. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks all.

You don't have to increase 25mcg daily. Som folks take an extra 25mcg every 2nd day while others take and extra 25mcg maybe 2 days a week . Do something like that if you want to try a small increase.
I think you should possibly consider holding for longer. It can take time for a dose to settle in, especially when drug changes are happening too, never mind anything external to that.
I think timing is the critical think here based on your results.
But, do bear in mind I dot have near enough experience with this disease. Without knowing what symptoms you feel you are having either, it’s hard to comment. Over time, you’ll notice a pattern for your symptoms and that will help going forward.
Igennus B complex popular option too. Nice small tablets. Most people only find they need one per day. But a few people find it’s not high enough dose
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg)
Post discussing how biotin can affect test results
I don’t think I’ve tried these ones but it looks you still have to swallow some of it. I might give it a go anyway thanks SlowDragon much appreciated 👍
