T4 to T3 conversion.

Hi all, I recently had a blood test done and I have a feeling my t4/T3 conversion rate isn't good. I took the test early in the morning,. no food or drink from the night before. I regularly self inject B12 as I have pernicious anaemia. I supplement with D3, magnesium and omega 3 oil. For the past couple of months my muscle pain/joint pain has been getting steadily worse. Also numbness and tingling in my thighs. I would like to try a t3/t4 regimen but I can't seem to source T3 here in the UK. Can anyone let me know a reliable source. Also can a private gp prescribe T3. Or do you have to see a consultant first. TIA for any help

Do you take a B complex as well?I have to inject b12 and found the basic B complex with folate in really important. Didnt feel well without it.

Just a thought...

To purchase T3 without prescription you will find that suppliers are based overseas.

Also can a private gp prescribe T3. Or do you have to see a consultant first.

To get a trial of T3 on the NHS you would need to see an NHS endo first. A private GP may be able to prescribe T3 and a private endo who is T3 friendly would be able to provide a private prescription, in both cases if they feel you are a candidate for T3.

Your results above do suggest poor conversion although your TSH is on the highish side, we would normally expect to see if below 1. Apart from B12 which you are taking care of, what are your current results for Vit D, Folate and Ferritin. All vitamins need to be optimal before introducing T3, and iron panel in particular requires saturation percentage to be a minimum of 30% to treat successfully with T3 according to rt3adrenals.org:

As we can't name suppliers of UK prescription only medication on the forum, I will turn off replies and anyone who can help will reply by private message. Feel free to start another post with results of vitamins, etc, to continue discussion.

Also, please be sure to read this post before considering ordering T3 from any supplier and check with myself or another member of the Admin team to see if we have any feedback on any source that you are considering:
