Hi,

I posted a little while back and it was suggested to me to get more bloods done, inc vitamins, so I've listed them below and welcome any advice you can give me.

My current Levo dose is 50 mcg/d and I have a GP blood test booked for 25 July 8.40am. I believe they are checking other stuff this time as well as thyroid.

I do of course take your advice re not taking vitamins or levo before tests.

Anyway, these are my Medicheck result today:

CRP HS 1.3 mg/l (range below 3)

Ferritin 233 ug/l (range 30-150)

Folate serum 46 nmol/L (range 8.83-60.8)

B12-Active 81.3 pmol/L (range 37.5-188)

Vit D 124 nmol/L (range 50-249)

TSH 7.4 ml/U/L (range 0.27-4.2)

FT3 3.6 pmol/L (range 3.1-6.8)

FT4 14.7 pmol/L (range 12-22)

Thyroglobulin antib 619 kIU/L (range 0-115)

Thyroid Peroxidase Antib 240 kIU/L (range 0-34

So you need to push/insist on 25mcg dose increase in levothyroxine to 75mcg daily

Which brand levothyroxine are you currently taking

if not on gluten free diet……Have you had coeliac blood test yet, if not get GP to test BEFORE trialing GF

Thank you for replying!

Off the top of my heat I'm not sure which brand it is...I'll check when home.

I haven't had a coeliac test yet, but last week received my DNA results and I do have the coeliac variant, so since then I have been very strict about gluten free

no point testing for coeliac if already on strictly gluten free diet

Just stick with it

My brand of levothyroxine is Accord

Accord don’t make 25mcg tablets

Request extra 50mcg tablets per month and cut in half to get 25mcg

Get weekly pill dispenser to store spare half in for next day
