Iggennus B12 with foliate supplement, the dose and ingredients have changed

Was just about to restock my B12 for Iggenus and noticed this on their website.**Please note - we have updated the formula for UK & EU customers. The new formula contains 10mg vitamin B6 per adult serving. US customers will continue to receive the original formula (20mg vitamin B6 per adult serving

Any tips on other good brands of B12?

I wonder what else they have put in the pill as a filler if the mg has been halved? Just seemed a lil odd so another option might be better.

It's just the B6 that has been reduced and that's not a bad thing as excess of vit B6 can cause toxicity and adverse symptoms.

If you were taking the recommended 2 tablets a day that would cost £11.99 a month depending on supplier.

If you bought this one it would cost you £5.99 a month. Quite a saving! amazon.co.uk/Liposomal-Soft...

Does it still contain vit C? Because if it does, that's not the right supplement to be using, anyway. Vit C negatively affects the way the body uses B12. They should be taken at least two hours apart.

A member posted recently about asking Igennus direct about vitamin C and they had very informative result back……unfortunately I can’t find it

Ah... Strange. I was basing my reply on what I read on webmd.com, but the page seems to have disappeared! I wish they'd all make up their minds about this stuff.

Let me know if you find this post. I would be very interested to read it.

Just found this:

Large doses of vitamin C may interfere with the absorption and metabolism of vitamin B12. Large doses of vitamin C may interact with herbs and supplements that have hormonal, antibacterial, and blood-thinning (anticoagulant) activity.

Perhaps they just said the dose of vit C wasn't large enough to be a problem? The trouble is, people don't specify what they mean by 'a large dose'!

It looks like it does contain Vit C I didn't realise it had a negative effect to B12. Are their any brands you would recommend for B vitamins instead?

We normally recommend Thorne Basic B. But the one JayDee links to also looks good. :)
