Dear Dr ####
Re: Eeyore Date of Birth: ##
NHS Number: 490 ### ####
This is just a letter to update you about Eeyore who is hypothyroid, and we are currently prescribing levothyroxine for (lactose free) but also T3 under your guidance.
Her recent bloods have shown she is over treating with a TSH of 0.05 and twice in your recent clinic letters you have clearly outlined the long-term problems in relation to arrythmia and osteoporosis.
We had adjusted her dose as per your February letter down to levothyroxine 75mcg.
However, she is unwilling to drop her dose because of how she is feeling, until she speaks with you again in May.
This is just to update you that she will remain on the 100mcg thyroxine until that point, as sadly she has no interest in our advice in primary care.
Kind regards,
Letter sent unsigned to avoid delay
They might have actually read this by the time I go in May.... they didn't mention the fact I had already notified them all a month ago that I wasn't going to reduce π
Small victory so have quickly requested the new script! Did request that they also wrote the script correctly but no joy there.... π«
Levothyroxine sodium 100microgram tablets
56 tablet - take one each morning (Aristo brand, Vencamil)
Last Issued: Never
Even when I pointed out that they managed to correctly name the other rather less important things on my list.... π€·ββοΈ funny that!!
Lenzetto 1.53mg/dose transdermal spray (Gedeon Richter (UK) Ltd)
112 dose - 3x doses daily
Utrogestan 100mg capsules (Besins Healthcare (UK) Ltd)
120 capsule
Testogel 40.5mg/2.5g gel sachets (Besins Healthcare (UK) Ltd)
So why the issue with T3/4 branded prescribing??
