was test done early morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
What dose levothyroxine are you currently taking
Not on T3 ?
What vitamin supplements
Hi, totally forgot to add medication. Post edited.
I took levo 24hrs before, t3 12 hours before blood draw, fasted stomach.
Supplement vitD, with k2, mk7 and magnesium glycinate🌸🌸🌸🌸
So dose T3 was increased after these results…..
So retest 6-8 weeks later
Still suspect you will need to increase levothyroxine after next test
Suggest you might add a daily vitamin B complex to improve B12 and folate
Hi, yes, I increased dose, my endo appeared to find these results satisfactory and didnt mention to increase t3, so I did it myself and feel better after a few days
Are you on Levothyroxine? If you are not I'd say all looks normal. If you are on Levo, I'd say your TSH is great but your T4 and T3 do not reflect that, they are very low in range.
Are you still symptomatic? If so, and again presuming you are Hypothyroid and currently medicated, it is possible that you have a conversion problem and would benefit from T3. I'd recommend talking to a specialist eg an Endocrinologist as a GP is unlikely to have as good an understanding of variations in the normal relationship of the thyroid hormones and he will probably not prescribe T3 whereas a Endo can.
FT4: 11.9 pmol/l (Range 11 - 25)
Ft4 only 6.43% through range
FT3: 4.2 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8)
Ft3 only 29.73% through range
Looking at previous posts
been taking 10mcg t3, (half tablet) with 75mcg levothyroxine since July,
Do you normally split T3 as 2 x 5mcg doses
day before test ……Last 5mcg dose T3 8-12 hours before test
Levothyroxine dose probably needs increasing.
Perhaps initially to 87.5mcg ……retest in 6-8 weeks
Likely to need to go up to 100mcg daily after that ……
Hi, I split my t3 in 2 doses, last dose 12 hours before testNow on 3 doses, crippling neck and headaches have gone and aches disappeared too.
I will post my private blood test results in about 8 weeks. I do feel better, as you say, low and slow is key.... And thank you for your invaluable advice 🌸🌸🌸🌸
