Quick question - I am meant to be having my thyroid tested tomorrow am but took some DHEA today and some kelp and wondered if this would change the results too much? Should I wait a day or two and get them done without taking these supplements? I have stayed off biotin but have also taken B's - not sure if they effect results? I am on a small amount of T3 but was told not to take that out. Thanks for the advice!

Biotin is the main thing to skip for about 4-7 days before the test. Have you got the timing right with last doses of Levo - 24hrs, T3 8-12hrs?
would the test to show lower levels of T3 or TSH if I didn't do these timings? Why would I have to take T3 at a different time to normal? thank you
Tux1,
‘ I have stayed off biotin but have also taken B's’.
If you mean a B Complex, this will likely contain biotin also, and the iodine in kelp has been shown to alter TFT’s.
If this were me I would wait a few days.
