Need a reliable source for buying Thyroid-s!!

There is just so much to tell about my situation. I will try to break it down to something small. Struggled for 7 years with thyroid issues. Infertility, intolerance to cold, weight gain, nodules, etc. Doctors wouldn't do anything since I was in the "normal range". What happens to untreated thyroid disease? Yep, I got cancer. Now, I am on synthroid, but am not converting t4 to t3 adequately. Doctors won't listen and I am TIRED!! Now they won't even cover the cost of t3 testing which has been telling them that I don't convert adequately. I need a reliable source of thyroid s, and would greatly appreciate any help you all can provide!!

Thadtheontemp,

As I said on your previous request, members are more likely to share their sources with new members who post their thyroid results and ranges. If you start taking Thyroid-S you will need to check FT3 to ensure it remains within range.

My ranges have been all over the place Clutter. I have no idea what my t3 levels are, since they refuse to cover the cost of the test. Since I don't have the money to cover the out of pocket expenses, there is no way for me to find out my t3 levels. That being said, I can no longer wait around to do anything about my levels that are up and down. I have 3 children, and after dealing with thyroid disease symptoms for 7 years before getting cancer, I am through! I just want to be healthy and have the energy to truly be there for my kids...

thadtheontemp,

If you are taking T3 or NDT which contains T3 you will need to monitor your FT3 levels to make sure they remain within range.

I understand completely and couldn't possibly agree more. The problem, as I stated, is that I can't afford the almost $300 test. The Dr. explained that they don't believe that it is medically necessary to test t3, and they tell insurance that so they won't cover it...my insurance is through the government, and that is the only provider they cover...I am at a total loss as to what to do...

Thadtheontemp,

I suggest you contact Hypothyroidmom, Mary Shoman or ThyroidSexy Facebook groups and ask where you can source FT3 tests without doctor orders. $300 is a ridiculous price it must be available at better prices than that.
