Is there any improvement?

Hi Everyone

Another results query. Following brilliant advice and support from this forum back in March I got my Levothyroxine upped to 100 mcg (I weigh 57kg). I’ve just had results back from Medichecks, posted below) and my TSH has gone down but the others seem about the same. (Previous results T3 4.04 and Free Thyroxine 17.6 same ranges as recent tests). I feel much better though. I’ve gone gluten free and I’ve taken some iron (agreed by GP) to improve my ferritin stores (now 42.8 range 13 - 150, so getting there but will take iron for a bit longer).

I think I’m not great at converting- is that right? And how come my results are almost the same?

I feel great - so maybe it’s a placebo effect - what does anyone think.

Fair-trade, you are not yet on an adequate dose of levo to discuss conversion. On levo only once TSH is below 2 and likely nearer to 1 or under, and/or ft 4 is towards the top of range or over then you can begin to look at conversion. Up to that point, if you are symptomatic, it means you need an increase in levo.

Request another small increase in levothyroxine

Up to 112.5mcg per day (cutting 25mcg tablet in half)

Which brand of levothyroxine are you currently taking

What were vitamin D, folate and B12 results

What other vitamin supplements are you taking apart from iron

Thank you. I’m on Accord. I didn’t have the other vitamins/minerals checked again since February. Then Vit d 105 nmol (50 - 250), B12 388ng (170-730) and folate 5.7 (3.9 - 26.8) . Since then I’ve been taking Folate , vit B12, I also take Vit K2 and Magnesium and Vit D. Sorry I don’t have more up to date results.

Thank you for the link to the calculator. I’ll see if I can increase my levothyroxine and then try again in 6-8 weeks.
