You're a poor converter, and it's the lowish FT3 that is causing symptoms. Have you had your nutrients tested: vit D, vit B12, folate, ferritin?

Have a Dr script Vit D 800 iu per day.

Yes, you do. Unless optimising your nutrients improves conversion. Your folate is too low, should be at least mid-range. Are you supplementing B12? Because it's very high. If you are, then you ought to also be taking a B complex with methylefolate, which would bring your folate level up.

Vit D is too low, as you know, but 800 iu is unlikely to change that. It's not even a maintenance dose. I would buy my own, if I were you. And, with it, you should take magnesium and vit K2-MK7, the cofactors of vit D, without which it will not give the desired effects.

Your ferritin is also too low. Have you had your iron tested?

:)

Ref. to vit d I should get another b/test done, getting bloods tests via gp can be difficult at times, possible look at private 1's ref. Iron. My B12 as been high since July 2018 when I brought this up with a gp I was ignored as it showed high on B/Horizon tests as did the tsh. It was only when the lab's brought it up by requesting a gp's appointment in Sept 2021 & even then the the gp told me it was fine /ok, now the lab's write abnormal - no action 🤔 magnesium oral give me headaches, I do take k2 Mk7 with vitd. So with high b12 it's still OK to take folate.

Have you had thyroid antibodies tested

Do you have autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Was test done early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Email Thyroid U.K. for list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologist and doctors who will prescribe T3

Improving folate to at least 50% through range

Look at adding a daily vitamin B complex. One with folate in not folic acid

Vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

Likely to need 2000iu vitamin D per day …..retest after 3-4 months.

Look at increasing iron rich foods in diet to improve ferritin to at least around 70

I have in the past brought BetterYou 3000 vit d spray I get another 1, i have also purchased super b complex & health leads folate but been reluctant taking them due to already having high b12 levels.

If you don’t want to risk B12 issues just get separate folate eg Jarrow folate
