Does anyone know if you have had thyroid cancer if you are entitled to a free NHS flu jab and also the Covid booster?

Here is the most up to date NHS page about flu jabs and who's eligible:

nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinati...

There are links to all nations' NHS.

If you are 50+ it seems that you will get a free flu jab regardless.

Starting from mid-October, people aged 50 years old or over (including those who will be 50 years old by 31 March 2023) can have a free NHS flu vaccine. This is so at-risk groups can be offered vaccination first.

If you’re in this age group and have a long-term health condition that puts you at risk from flu, you do not have to wait until mid-October.

and this page links to Cancer Research information about the flu jab:

cancerresearchuk.org/about-...

If these links don't answer your question then ask at your pharmacy or surgery.

If you've had the Covid jab previously you will be offered the autumn booster when it's the turn of your age group. My area is currently doing ages 70 plus.

I asked the pharmacist first and they said I wasn't entitled, then I had a blood test at GP surgery and the HCA said I was eligible.

Not entitled to which?

If you are England then this applies for the Covid booster:

gov.uk/government/publicati...

Search for your nation if you're not in England.

I had a blood test at GP surgery and the HCA said I was eligible.

So why not get back in touch with surgery to book.

Sorry should have made it clearer I went to book at a pharmacy for the flu jab and they said I wasn't entitled. I will book with GP surgery just wanted it done at a pharmacy as its easier.

I'm in Wales and our pharmacy make a point of advertising (inside the pharmacy, on windows, and on local networking public facebook group) that they have X amount of free flu jabs for X age group - and to get them before they're gone. Once that age group is done then they may have a few more for another eligible age group, but most are done at the surgery and one of the receptionists rings the patients to make an appointment, or if someone eligible thinks they've been missed they can ring up to book.
