Organising my private blood test

Hi, I did a Blue Horizon , Thyroid Premium Gold finger prick test this morning and didn’t get enough blood despite trying 2 fingers. I might have done it incorrectly, maybe I needed to hold fingertip above the container rather than on the opening . I usually hold on the opening but this container has one side raised and that got in the way resulting in blood trickling outside.

They would send me another free kit but I’ve order a phlebotomy kit . The BMI clinic open at 9, (walk in). please could anyone help with timing of my Levo dose Does 24 hours before test mean 24 or how much after this is ok? I usually take it around 4.30 when I wake. Perhaps I shout wait until 9am tomorrow and then it will be 24 hours when I get tested on Thursday.

I’m trying to plan this for tomorrow as once I’m awake I’m up and can’t sleep in…. it’s then 4.5 hours before I can have breakfast and my 1 coffee of the day. I feel so dreadful when I wake up until I’ve had that coffee an hour after my Levo. 🙏🏽

24 hours before means 24 hours before. So you take your last dose of Levo 24 hours or very close to it, changing the time of your dose if necessary.

I normally take my dose about 5am. On the day before I do my test I delay taking my dose until about 9am. On the day of the test I do it between 8.30and 8.45am, so my last dose would be almost 24 hours before the test. It may be a bit of a PITA but it's only one day.

Thanks SeasideSusie. I’ll do the same and wait till 9am . I’ll go for a walk , being outside in the fresh air usually helps bring me round
