Supplement recommendations refused medication

Hi folks, I saw a private endocrinologist with hopes that I would manage to get medication, unfortunately she has said I do not need to be medicated, I really don’t want to self source that would be my last resort. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any supplements that could help with hair loss, it now grows but top layer falls out 1-4 inches, red patches of skin that flake off and puffy face, weight loss? I can just about handle the rest of the symptoms but these really get me down.

I’m currently taking d3, vit c, zma, black seed oil, ferrous fumerate, folic acid, biotin.

Have tried selenium, garlic tablets, pro biotics aswell. Was looking at marine collagen, and thyrogold.

I am a really fussy eater so changes to diet aren’t an option but I do try to eat a high protein diet and as health as I can. Tia x

zma is not a good supplement, because zinc and magnesium should not be taken together.

Did you get any of these things tested before supplementing? The main culpret, of course, is iron, so good idea to get that tested. But, if the hair-loss is due to hypo, no supplements are going to make it grow again. :(

Omg no way I’ve been taking that for about 2 years 🤦🏼‍♀️ Yeah my ferritin was at 13, folic acid 2, D was low but can’t remember what it was and b12 aswell was low those are now all optimal so I don’t take them every day apart form D3. My hair grows now which it wasn’t but still falls out. There’s one more clinic I think I’ll try but if I can’t get medicated looks like self sourcing will be my only option 😕 Have you tried the thyrogold at all? X

I haven't, no. NDT doesn't agree with me. But plenty of people on here have. :)

I don’t know anything about Thyrogold - is it American? If it is it will probably be pretty expensive as it will have import taxes. I use Metavive which is UK based. It works for me. Start low and go slow if you decide to go with any of them.
