Sorry you had Covid to deal with as well as trying to find out what dose of Armour suits you best - good to read you are over the worst and read the long term symptoms can be similar to hypothyroid symptoms.
So looking at the above blood test as when on Armour, T3 is the most important number.
It has risen since I last replied to you, and this looks " very good " on paper - but how are you now feeling, as with Armour, or any NDT, you dose to the relief of symptoms and not a blood test result. ?
As previously mentioned I think you will feel much better when your core strength is strong and solid and I find I feel at my best when both my ferritin and vitamin D are around 100 :
Did you mange to get some Asda chicken livers as an additional supplement to the iron ?
Thanks for your response pennyannie😊. I must say I feel zero to no sleepiness during the day. This is huge for me as I was struggling with the fatigue the most. I have more energy somedays and I take advantage to exercise. Then there are days I struggle to complete tasks. Based on my labs is it safe to continue to supplement with the iron and vitamin D supplements? How many months does it usually take to see ferritin and vitamin D to increase ? And yes I have been eating liver but from beef weekly. I couldn’t find the Asda abroad where I’m currently at.
I'm not able to advise on your supplements as I don't know exactly what you are taking.
Look at your previous results - have your ferritin and vitamin D moved at all - could you be increasing the iron tablets for a quicker, higher, result ?
It took me over a year to build up my core strength vitamins and minerals and I did this before I even switched to self medicating with NDT. some three years ago now.
I still need to maintain these levels on a weekly/daily basis and arrange a yearly blood test just to see where I am with them all and adjust as I feel necessary.
Exercising will use up more of your T3 stores quicker than walking and gentle exercising.
i think you need to build up your exercise regime slowly.
The slump you describe afterwards is simply an expression of too low a level of T3 and your body running out of steam/ energy and leaving you exhausted.
It will take longer to recover from exercise the more often you do it, and until your core strength is strong and solid - gentle exercise is more sensible rather than crash and burn workouts.
That is a valid point. I didn’t think about it that way. Walks and yoga for the time being. Both haven’t increased really. I guess it’s still safe to continue taking them regularly then. I appreciate your help.
