I know I’ve asked many questions before as this year has felt like hitting a brick wall going from a completely feeling 28 year old female, always on my feet working or getting to go out and be with friends and family to now being in constant pain and barely making it out of bed sometimes overnight. I was fine until a heavy night of drinking back I may and after I quit and completely turned my diet and lifestyle around and I have never felt worse or had worse labs in my life. I told my dr about my drinking so I got an ultrasound to check the liver and it came back as mild fatty liver so I went completely healthy after that. As the months went in my labs went from being perfect to getting slightly out of range and I’ve had horrible upper right quadrant pain since May with maybe a day or two off from the pain sometimes if I’m lucky but it’s basically daily. I now also have low back and hip pain in my right side that never goes away as well. We decided I had hyperthyroidism so they swore I would feel better after RAI therapy and going in hormones so I trusted my drs and did it in August in hopes my pains would go away. The pain never went away and now I feel like I can’t eat due to terrible indigestion all the time, my body aches all the time, I’m so tired all the time, my skin is pale, my hair is going white, my joints hurt, my soul hurts and the upper right quadrant pain has never even thought about stopping. I’ve literally had every liver test besides a biopsy and drs are sick of me worrying about my liver and tell me fine even though I still have mild fatty liver. My thyroid levels now went crazy and my tpo was 270 which they told me is hashimotos and my Tsh went 30.800. I feel like I’m not even a person anymore and I just want to cry all the time. I’m not even 30 and I feel like I’m over 50 years old. My bone density came back as osteropenea and I just don’t know what to do. After trying to be good to Myself my liver enzymes are going up but not in the 100s yet so drs don’t care and say it’s false positives from my thyroid not being in balance. They keep swearing to me I’ll feel better but I honestly feel like I’m slowly dying (not trying to be dramatic but my health has just gone upside down). Does anyone have experience with all from the thyroid and is there any light at then end of the tunnel or am I actually just slowly dying now with no hope of ever having a normal life again? I’m just so exhausted from all this and I want my life back.
Hashimotos thyroid : I know I’ve asked many... - Thyroid UK
Hashimotos thyroid
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
When were vitamin levels last tested
Are you on strictly gluten free diet, often helps reduce gut symptoms
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after any dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Ask GP to test vitamin levels
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Well you've really been through it ... but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
This is a kind, friendly forum so hopefully you will get the help and answers you need here.
Step 1 is to get your historic blood tests, so you can see what has been tested. Hopefully more than just TSH! You are legally entitled to your blood results - you don't need to give a reason, but it's sometimes easiest to say "for my records" or register for on-line access. Post the results in a separate post, with the lab ranges in brackets after each result (these vary from lab to lab) and the lovely people here can hlep you to understand them.
If they've only ever tested TSH and, if you're lucky, free T4, see if you can get the full range of tests SlowDragon suggests (I've had some success with my GP by saying these are the tests Thyroid UK recommends) or treat yourself to full testing. At the very least, try and get TSH, free T4 and free T3.
Good luck x
Thank you I definitely have the full report.

I’m so exhausted and I’m so much pain all the time it was actually draining writing this. I feel like I’m wasting away
I honestly feel like it’s my liver because my upper right quadrant pain is so terrible but like I said earlier no dr wants to give me the time of day because my labs and tests aren’t like crazy.
Upper right quadrant pain could well be caused by your gallbladder. Has anyone checked you for gallstones? I've never had gallbladder problems so I don't know how they are investigated.
I got an ultrasound to check the liver and it came back as mild fatty liver so I went completely healthy after that.
What kind of diet do you call "completely healthy"?
I had a HIDA scan that showed some bile in the stomach and delayed transit but gallbladder function was like 96% so they said not gallbladder. All my liver tests suggest mild fatty liver so I stopped any junk food, no fast food unless it’s a salad, no frozen foods, no canned foods, I can’t cook so I do get food out but only salads, grilled chicken, salmon, or veggies. If I snack it’s grapes or apple and a form of nut. Yogurt and banana for breakfast, water coffee or tea is all I drink with almond milk and no added sugar.
