When should I take my extra 15mg of Armour Thyroid?

I have been taking my 60 mg dose if Armour Thyroid every morning when I wake up. My doctor has prescribed me another 15 mg dose to bring my dose up to 75mg. We will see how am doing and retest after 6 weeks.

When should I take this extra dose, in the morning with the 60 mg or in the evening before bed?

I am currently taking ferrous sulphate before bed, so I don't know if it's okay to take the NDT as well.

Also, the 15 mg is a different provider (Allergan) than the 60 mg (Forest). Is this likely to cause problems?

Thanks for helping

Try it all in the morning. If you get headaches or feel it's too much T3 all at once you can take the 15mg later in the day but not too close to food. After a couple of weeks you might want to try it in the morning again. However T4 is a storage hormone so as long as you're taking the same amount everyday you can still split it. I don't mix brands of Levothyroxine but I'd be open to two different brands on NDT but preferably I'd stick to the same brand. different brand different fillers.

Thanks for your response.

The pharmacy gave the brand they could get 15 mg in, so I think maybe taking them apart might be best, just in case their fillers conflict in any way.

Also, maybe taking it in the afternoon could help reduce my afternoon exhaustion.

Does that make sense?

The lovely Dr Peatfield advised me to take a dose late morning to help with afternoon fatigue. I take my second dose at 11.30 am (first at 5am which I know is early but works for me).
