Hi ... Had Blood Test done at 8.00am this morning (THURS. 15/2). My question is when do I take my dose of Levothyroxine? I usually take it at night as it absorbs better but I did NOT take Levo. the night before (on Wed. (14/2). Had evening meal late at 9.00pm (Wed). No breakfast (fasting) as I had 9 blood vials taken!) ... Yes, NINE Ugh! :-( Had breakfast at 8.45AM. I relaxed in cafeteria for a while. Felt okay, so went for a walk around in sunshine (Yay! About time we had some sun, we all need it). It is now 12.30PM (Thurs). Should I leave it until this evening and take Levo. (as per usual) at about 8.00pm or do I need to take it now?! Bit confused about this, please help. Thank you! :-)

As you missed last night's dose in preparation for your blood test, you could have taken it immediately after the blood draw. You could take it now and then take today's dose as normal tonight.

Thank you SeasideSusie! :-) I was up at 6.00am, got to Hospital at 8.00am so by almost 9.00am I was desperate to eat some breakfast, so had a coffee & banana in cafeteria. It took an hour to walk home and I ate again as soon as I got in as i was still hungry lol .. will take it now, it's 2.00pm so still not sure when to take it as not sure how many hours I need to leave in-between. The early hours I guess instead of my usual time of 8-9.00PM?

Maybe take it when you go to bed? As long as you have finished all evening food and snacks and allow a couple of hours and then take the evening tablet. It will be fine :)

You will be ok to take tonight's as normal, but leave longer if you're more comfortable with that. It's possible to take a whole week's worth all at once.
