I’ve been under the GP and now an endocrinologist. My levothyroxine was dropped from 125mcg to 100mcg then to 75mcg. I’m now back to 100mcg and due another blood test mid November. I’m struggling daily with intermittent neck, shoulder and back of the head aches. My last TSH was 12 and that’s when these aches started. I’m gluten and dairy free and have high antibodies. Do you think it’s connected to my thyroid?
Thyroglobulin antibodies 958 (0-115)
TPO antibodies 60 (0-34)
Active b12 139 (37.5-188)

I feel like I’ve been messed around for years 😢 Ive been supplementing vitamin D and it is 78 now from 40. My previous results are on past posts if you’re interested
What were test results that caused level thyroxine be reduced from 125mcg to 100mcg
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase in levothyroxine
Do you always get same brand of levothyroxine
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Remember to stop taking any supplements that contain biotin a week before ALL BLOOD TESTS
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies....OR especially if have been left under medicated as you have
Ask GP to test B12, folate and ferritin levels
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
Yes I followed all instructions. My results are added to my first post. I just wondered if you’d heard of these aches before with Hashi or levels being way off
