I urged her to have some tests done because she’s moody, tearful, terribly anxious, has started to gain weight and noticed some hair loss. Unfortunately, there’s no T3 and a few others and I know you’ll say she needs more done - which she will get - but for now, with the following, I’d really like some preliminary thoughts please
Vit D3 38 nmol/L (50-100)
TSH 2..48 mu/L (0.30-5.00)
Free T4 11.9 pmol/L (8.8-18.8)
Ferritin 21 ug/L. (15-200)
Iron 10.8 umol/L. (9.0-30.4)
Transferrin 2.6 g/l. (2.0-3.4)
Transferrin
saturation 16% (15-65)
TPO <1 IU/ml. (0.00-5.61)
B12 422 ng/L. (179.0-1162.0)
Folate 3.1 ug/L. (2.8-12.4)
I’m able to interpret some of this but for the mostpart, not really and I should add that she’s now 14wks pregnant

As your daughter is pregnant, if it were my daughter, I would urge her to discuss blood tests with the doctor or if she has been referred to an anti natal clinic, the community midwife. Expected levels may differ in pregnancy. some results are obviously low. Vitamin D is low for example. Iron is only just in range. Folate is just in range. So these are things to discuss with a doctor or midwife and ask for advice.
Thank you Nanaedake, she has a phone call appt but I wanted to know in advance what tests she should ask for. Obviously, the ones that are out of range or only just within and T3 too, but any others?
Also, I wanted some thoughts regarding diagnosis so we are armed with information before the phone call. I’m aware none of you are qualified to diagnose, I’m just after thoughts and ideas around what it could be. I’ve had enough dealings with NHS doctors to know that some of them are not entirely familiar with all the thyroid issue possibilities
