Hi, I’m ttc and recently went to NHS dr to request more investigation into fertility issues. I was diagnosed 10 months ago with Hashimotos and put on levothyroxine. Now taking 75mcg. I’m 41. Never been pregnant and Ttc for over 2 years. Been GF, DF, SF for 9 months. TSH has been about 0.73 for 7-8 months and this week. TPO was in range 4 months ago. I feel mostly ok. Occasional feet and muscle pains and occasional irritability and stress. Normally around PMS time. I do yoga, Pilates and fast walking and occasional cardio. My progesterone is 30, 7 or 6 days after ovulation via peak Opk. Very Regular cycles 26-28 days. But last month was 30. Fsh 8.8 and tsh 4.6 on day 4. Vit d tested this week was low so going to increase levels. But my dr didn’t test TPO or TG antibodies. Can I request for these and T4 be tested via NHS? Or do I have to go back to the drs lab and pay for it to see how these are tracking?
I’m getting my tubes tested on Monday to check for blockages and AMH levels tested. Not sure what else to request and try to rule out before age really impacts my chances.

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to regularly test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially as you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
Consider starting levothyroxine at a dosage of 1.6 micrograms per kilogram of body weight per day (rounded to the nearest 25 micrograms) for adults under 65 with primary hypothyroidism and no history of cardiovascular disease.
