Can you please tell me your opinion on these latest Labs? I am with Hashimoto, currently taking levo. I know there are a lot of other tests like antibodies, vitamins etc.

Tsh: 1,08 range: 0,5-5

FT3: 3,13 range: 1,8-4,4

FT4: 1,34 range: 0,93-1,7

Are these results ideal? Or is there room for improvement? Of course I have symptoms that's why I'm asking (dizziness, anxiety, palpitations etc)

Thanks in advance!

Sorry your post was missed

Both Ft4 and Ft3 roughly 50% through range

Helpful calculator for working out percentage through range

Suggests room for dose increase

Thanks for the info and Link! One more question though:

I have had Hashimoto for years without any symptoms until a year ago. So I know the ranges I feel good with. Both fT3 and ft4 are almost to the point of where I normally am. The TSH though is a bit suppressed (I am normally within 1,6 to 2,2).

How can the TSH be lower but the rest to remain exactly as they are? Can this mean that I now have high reverse T3 (where I am no one tests the rT3, no one even knows it so I have no way to test it).

You don’t need reverse T3 tested. It’s an expensive test and frequently irrelevant

You do need vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

Low vitamin levels tend to lower TSH

Vitamin levels tend to drop as we get older

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially as you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Ask GP to test vitamin levels

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Is this how you do your tests?

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies

For thyroid including antibodies and vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
