I have been approached by a journalist for the Guardian who is looking to do an update on the T3 position plus wants to write about patients who have recently been offered antidepressants because of symptoms possibly due to hypothyroidism. She would like to speak to someone who took the antidepressants but for whom they didn't work.
If anyone is interested in speaking to this journalist please contact me via email - enquiries@thyroiduk.org Please make sure that you state that you give your permission for me to forward the email to the journalist so that she can contact you.

Is there any chance that they could just run an article on people who have been refused T3 on the NHS despite the fact that they are self medicating with it and feeling MUCH better since they have been taking it?
I'm sure you would have a deluge of people who could contribute to that article.
I definitely would have required ant depressants, had I not started taking the T3, along with a raft of other medications to alleviate the symptoms not rectified on Levothyroxine alone.
