We have been approached by a BBC journalist who is looking for someone under 50 who has been or is taking NDT and whose life has been changed by it i.e. without it, their work, family or social life was badly affected before changing over to NDT.
You would need chat to the journalist first and then you would be filmed for the piece.
Along with other thyroid groups we have been campaigning about getting patient access to T3 and hopefully, this is coming to fruition.
It will then be time to campaign about the fact that many patients have had their NDT withdrawn (myself included) and that some people feel better on NDT than a combination of levothyroxine and T3.
If you fit the criteria, do please try to overcome any fears about being filmed. It will really help us and the other groups to make a start on the NDT campaign.
If you fit the criteria and are willing to speak to the journalist send an email to: Laura.Westbrook@bbc.co.uk

Pity about the age range lynmynott as I am into 16 weeks of NDT and have never had such good blood results. Feeling as good in myself as I felt on Goldshield Eltroxin too. Even the skin damage caused by Mercury Pharma in 2010 is now subsiding.
Whoever is chosen, and it won't be me as I'm 71, the reporter needs to be fully informed about the different treatments that are available, the different types of hypothyroidism, the fact that thyroid medications are NOT drugs and many other indisputable facts. It is so easy for a reporter to simply get the facts mixed up by speaking to a single patient who may understand nothing more than the simple fact that their life was improved by converting from Levo to NDT.

I agree - what about the over 50s? I am just 2 and a half weeks short of being 50.... and my case goes back 20 years, so I have written to her... but will she accept it? My case is complex and a very clear case of why NDT is critical to some people. Hope she will consider me.
