I recently had labs done and hoping someone can let me know if I am addressing it properly:
TSH - 4.86 ( .350 - 4.494)
FREE T4 - .71 ( .70 - 1.48)
FREE T 3 - 2.86 (1.71-3.71)
This was on 600 mgs of Thyrogold. Had some insomnia, normal bp, heart rate 75-80 bpm , fatigue and temp average 98.0. I increased 2 weeks ago my Thyrogold to 900mgs and insomnia stopped everything else the same. My question is it seems like a lot of Thyrogold to be taking and I am concerned if I’m missing something else going on in my body. I looked at it and said wow I’m hypo but my TSH has always been low (.003-.006) Free T 4 normal ( approximately 1.1-1.4) and T3 (approximately 2.45-2.5). It’s just such a dramatic shift could something else be happening? Thank you for any insight you guys may have

The blood tests were introduced along with levothyroxine (T4 alone). Therefore if we take another product such as adding T3 to T4 or NDT (which contains more than two thyroid hormones) blood tests may well not correlate. It depends on how you feel
Dr Lowe who invented Thyrogold, so that it did not need a prescription, only took one blood test from his patients and thereafter it was always tiny increases until symptoms were relieved. Just in case you haven't read the following this is advice from Dr L.
Did you allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and the blood draw was fasting?
Thank you for your response. I really need to relearn to go by how I feel rather than what a blood test tells me how I should feel. I did leave 24 hours between doses before my blood draw but I did not fast.
