Firstly I'd like to say thanks for all the help and support I've received on this forum to date, it's truly been enlightening and convinced me that I don't need to just "put up" with my symptoms.
These were my last lot of Blue Horizon labs.
Thyroid Function
TSH 3.83 0.27 - 4.20 mIU/L
T4 Total 86.7 64.5 - 142.0 nmol/L
Free T4 12.60 12 - 22 pmol/L
Free T3 4.81 3.1 - 6.8 pmol/L
Immunology
Anti-Thyroidperoxidase abs 12.6 <34 kIU/L
Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs 44.0 <115 kU/L
I have to return to the hospital in a few weeks to see the delightful nurse I saw last time who as I'm sure will give me my "normal" blood test results and discharge me. I am actually in a way looking forward to this as I'm going to be challenging/questioning her on a few things now I feed a bit more knowledgeable thanks to all of you!
However I am still expecting to be discharged which then leaves me with what to do next.
I have a list of Endo's/Dr's from Louise which I've been looking at but again there's no guarantees they will treat me all the time my levels are in range even if they are on the very edge of it.
I think I would love to go and see Dr Peatfield but from what I've heard he's been quite poorly and I'm not sure if he's still working, if anyone knows if he is and could let me know that would be great.
My other option is to go back to my own GP who like me thinks I have sub clinical hypothyroidism and ask her to point me in the right direction. I know she is restricted by NHS guidelines and can't treat me herself but she might be able to tell me what to do next or may know a good private/functional doctor who I can see.
The final option is to self treat. Now this is obviously something I have no idea about and no idea where you can buy treatment from. I've seen something called Nutri Thyroid advertised but I'm not sure if this is the type of treatment people are referring to.
I realise that you can't tell me to self treat or what dosage I need etc but if anyone can help with any of these questions I'd be grateful.
Many Thanks

I've gone back and read all your posts. You haven't given any results for nutrients in any of them. Low nutrients really do make people feel terrible, and it is really important to get them tested and treat accordingly. It isn't an optional extra with thyroid treatment. For example, in order for the body to make full use of the thyroid hormone it is given (or is produced by the thyroid) good levels of ferritin/iron are necessary.
Could I suggest that you do a Thyroid Check Plus 11 before you start self-treating. You need all those nutrient levels.
It would make your life easier (when dealing with NHS doctors) if you started treating yourself with Levo because doctors will be used to the pattern of test results you are likely to get. Oddly enough however, whenever I've seen levo for sale online it has been incredibly expensive, I don't know why. (But then I've never wanted to buy it, and have never looked for a cheap source.)
You would be better off financially if you found a source of Natural Dessicated Thyroid (other names for the same thing - Dessicated Thyroid Extract or Prescription Dessicated Thyroid). Doctors hate the name "Natural Dessicated Thyroid" or NDT. They think it is some kind of herbal rubbish. They might accept the second or third name I gave, but many doctors will never have heard of it whatever you call it.
There is also T3. But if you aren't prescribed Levo and can't afford Levo, then going straight from no treatment to T3-only would be a very strange and unwise thing to do. I'd definitely recommend going for NDT under the circumstances.
As humanbean says ......you really need to get vitamins checked
You can ask GP to check levels of vitamin d, b12, folate and ferratin. These all need to at good (not just average) levels for thyroid hormones (our own or replacement ones) to work in our cells.
When you get results suggest you make a new post on here and members can offer advice on any vitamin supplements needed
If you can not get GP to do these tests, then like many of us, you can get them done privately
Blue Horizon - Thyroid plus eleven tests all these.
This is a finger prick test you do at home, post back and they email results to you couple of days later. Usual advice on ALL thyroid tests, (home one or on NHS) is to do early in morning, ideally before 9am. No food or drink beforehand other than water. (If you are taking Levo, then don't take it in 24 hours before, take straight after). This way your tests are always consistent, and it will show highest TSH, and as this is mainly all the medics decide dose on, best idea is to keep result as high as possible
You can still have Hashimotos even with low antibodies. Can be diagnosed from thyroid scan.
Thank you everyone, no stupidly I didn't do the Blue Horizon 11 check I did the Thyroid 6+ I think I naively thought that if my levels were high or borderline the NHS would check for things like vitamin deficiency , cholesterol levels etc. I had bloods done at the hospital but again I think they were just thyroid levels. I will get those checked before I start any sort of medication or self treatment. Reallyfedup I just thought they could only treat once the TSH went past 4 and was deemed sub-clinical. I have to say my GP was really good and I think once I speak to her she will be quite shocked by the attitude of the hospital she said at the time that she was more interested in what my free levels were as that would tell her a lot more than my tsh. I also said that the last time that I had it done which was some 18 months ago it was 12.92 and she said "that's only just in range" so if I now tell her it's 12.6 that's even lower and she might consider treatment but she's a fairly new/young doctor and I got the impression she felt she could only treat herself once the TSH went past the magical 4, even if I am only 0.17 off of it!! Thanks again guys that is helpful. I feel I have more options now. I'm going to have my follow up appt at the hospital book an appt with my GP in advance so I can speak to her straight after and if I don't get any joy with them then I'll have the Blue Horizon 11 test done and look to self treat. I think my GP might do my vit levels if I ask her, the other thing is I got put on PPI's a few months ago due to acid reflux as it has been unbearable along with my IBS but I've been reading that they can contribute to low levels of B12 etc due to affecting absorption so wouldn't be surprised if my vits were low! Thank you so much guys x
Many on here when hypo actually have low stomach acid, not high. Symptoms are incredibly similar. If you search on here "low stomach acid" you will find masses of postings on how to treat, how to tell if it's high or low etc. You can not just stop PPIs need to ween of very very gradually.
