Hi to all..sorry to be a pain but I need to change the magnesium supplement I take (I’ve been taking mag. Citrate which is giving me diarrhoea) . I spent all evening and a lot of time this morning looking into all the different ones available and I’m stuck! I believe I should be taking it as I am supplementing vit d? I’ve read that some are good for brain health..I could certainly do with help there...seriously though, I get a lot of buzzing in my head almost like wires are short circuiting and some visual disturbance but, equally, some seem to good for the heart ..... I get palpitations and have just been informed I have a heart murmur. Could anyone help me please?

Thank you for your help
I take liquid Mega-Mag, Natural Ionic Magnesium with Trace Minerals by Trace Minerals, sourced from Utah's Great Salt lake and containing "magnesium chloride plus 72+ naturally occurring ionic trace minerals that act as magnesium co-factors". I just dropper the dose into my morning juice (remembering to stir!) and have never experienced any adverse effect from it except for the one time I forgot to stir, blah! I like the fact that I'm not having to swallow yet another tablet.
I use Re-Mag from Botanical Health
Expensive but doesn’t upset gut
Developed by Carolyn Dean who wrote Magnesium Miracle
I use magnesium bisglycinate at a dose of 250mgs at bedtime.I also use "Better You" gel. This is less irritating to my skin than the spray.
I buy the capsules from the Ebay shop "Phoenix Nutrition".I bought the gel from Amazon
Try chelated or bisglycynate which is the most bioavalable, rather than a gut irritant.
If your skin isn't sensitive, you could try making your own transdermal spray with magnesium chloride hexahydrate crystals & boiled water or witch hazel.
Soaking in a bath with 500g of crystals or epsom salts is also nice.
Thank you so much for all the info. Sorry I dont know how I missed your reply yesterday. I blame it on my daughters puppy..I'm looking after her for a few days.🙄
Bulk Powders often have 30 or 40% off. Their bisglycinate works as I don't have cramp.
It must be very confusing for people, especially newer members, to see two (or more) different names without explanation!
Magnesium glycinate, also known as magnesium diglycinate or magnesium bisglycinate, is the magnesium salt of glycine (one magnesium and two glycine molecules), and is sold as a dietary supplement

(Not perfect but I believe Wiki is right on this matter.)
Magnesium Citrate is not a good one to take, try magnesium Glycinate
