Thyroid tests results

Hi. Had hemithyroidectomy on 7 March. TSH was 1.45 pre op. Now 2.6 and FT4 15.9. Are these results ok please? Was feeling lightheaded but better now on iron tablets. Serum ferritin was 69 which is normal but as I have RLS should be greater than 75 so persuaded GP to let me try some iron.

Feeling fine but bp a bit high despite doubling bp meds.

Suggest you retest thyroid again in 2-3 months

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins
